FAQ

FAQ

Do you have a question about Seward or Coastal Heritage Accommodations? We have an answer!

Arrival

Is early check in an option?
We cannot guarantee that your room will be ready early, but we will make every possible effort to accommodate your needs. Please call or text 907-362-0055 to let us know how we can help!
Any advice on what to pack?
Summer weather in Alaska changes daily. Temperatures vary between 58°F - 85°F. We suggest packing light: wearing layers, packing a jacket, hat, shorts, and t-shirts. Be prepared for temperature to change throughout the day.
Where is the front desk for check in?
Our office is located at 319 Third Avenue. However, due to the many properties we manage, our staff is often out and about. The best way to contact us is by phone. Call or text 907-362-0055.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel, please do so three weeks prior to your reservation date. There will be a credit card charge of 50% of the total owed if you need to cancel thereafter.

All cancellations made less than one week prior to arrival will be charged the total amount due. We will make every effort to re-book the rental. There will be a $25.00 office fee in addition to all cancellations.

What to Do in Seward

Where is the best place to eat lunch?
The Railway Cantina is a great place to grab a quick bite. Seward Brewing Company has a breathtaking upstairs that serves pizza by the slice from a clay fired oven! The Gold Rush also has a wide variety of lunch options.
How about dinner options?
The Cookery and Woody’s Thai Kitchen are some great restaurants, but keep in mind that both are closed on Mondays. Seward Brewing Company and Resurrection Roadhouse are our favorite dinner spots, though.
What are some things to do around Seward?
Go for a hike, take a walk, bike, or adventure! You could visit the Alaska SeaLife Center or have a coffee at the historic Rez Art Coffee House (First Fridays are every Friday from 5:30pm – 8:30pm in June, July, and August. Second Saturdays are all year-round). Seward is a town packed with art, community, and culture that embraces visitors and begs them to enjoy this young, precious land together!
